Dipping anything into chocolate instantly makes it better. This is a great cheap treat that looks so much fancier than it is. It is easy to prep and is sure to impress.
You Will Need
100g Milk Chocolate
100g White Chocolate
1 Punnet Strawberries
2 Hot Cross Buns
First melt the milk chocolate by microwaving on high for 10 second intervals, stirring in between. Repeat until chocolate is fully melted and smooth. Do the same again with the white chocolate.
Pour the melted chocolate into separate serving bowls and place in the centre of a large plate or board.
Slice the hot cross bun into bitesize chunks.
Position the strawberries, meringue pieces and sliced hot cross bun around the dipping bowls and serve.
You can mix and match a range of dipping foods with this treat. Try substituting the strawberries with chunks of banana or apple wedges.
Hot cross buns are seasonal so if you can’t get hold of any don’t panic, you can substitute them for sliced brioche or breadsticks.
Meringues can also be tricky to buy, these can easily be substituted for some marshmallows or plain rich tea biscuits.
Dark chocolate can also be substituted in to replace the milk or white chocolate if preferred.
